Guardian Pool & Tile Cleaner
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How does it work?  Guardian Pool & Tile Cleaner bonds with the calcium scale and causes it to let go of the surface.

2. Does it require scrubbing?  Scrubbing the surface is not required.   Guardian Pool & Tile reacts with the surface scale it comes in contact with.  This scale will sluff off or fall off over time especially where water is splashed against the surface.  However, brushing areas where Guardian Pool & Tile has reacted will speed the process since it can then make contact with calcium scale underneath.

3. How long does it take?  It depends on the thickness of your scale.  Also, around coping there may be a layer of grime due to oil & lotion build up that can interfere with Guardian Pool & Tile scale reaction first.  Results should normally appear in a few minutes.  If left to dry, the treated area will look worse initially since it has reacted with calcium scale that was not initially apparent.  Successive applications are usually needed to remove all the scale.

4. Will it remove the scum line?  Yes.  Guardian Pool & Tile also removes your scum line around the pool.

5. Will it affect my pool chemistry?  No.  Guardian Pool & Tile is made from natural elements and contains no harsh acid like other pool products do.  It is also certified BioPreferred with the Federal Government.

6.  Where is Guardian made?  Guardian is 100% manufactured and packaged in Tampa, FL, USA.

7. What can I use it on?  Guardian is safe for most materials especially because it contains no harsh acid.  However, Guardian is designed to react with calcium and will do so wherever it comes in contact with it.  Therefore, it is not recommended for use on porous or unsealed surfaces such as concrete, masonry, brick, cement tiles, and similar materials since many of these have a calcium component.
